Out with the old

Hello there! What's all this, I hear you ask? Well, much like the artist formerly known as Prince, this is the site formerly known as TMG Italia.

After three years of indecision, I — yes me, Chris — finally woke up and decided that: 1) TMG Italia sounds a bit silly; and 2) TIRO sounds more fun.

So this is us now. TIRO. I hope you like it. It's the Italian word for 'shot'. Cliché, I know.

Going into the new season, I'm aiming to get you a feature every week, whether by me or from a contributor — I'm open to submissions — and we'll continue with this weekly update on the wonderful world of Italian football. 

I'm committed to telling the fun stories about the Italian game that often get overlooked or misinterpreted in the wider media. I'm all about celebrating Italian football, rather than constantly bemoaning it, even if the powers that be are intent on making it a living meme.

So, I'm hopeful that you'll stick around and enjoy what TIRO has to offer. Keep your eyes peeled for the first feature of the new season, as well as some previews on the top two divisions.
